No, it can’t. The Face Mask is designed to be used in Karate practice according to the approved WKF Rules.

Does the Face Mask reduce the visibility field at the bout?

No, it doesn’t. All the studies made show that it doesn’t reduce the vision field and the eye only requires a short time to adapt as it happens for example when somebody wears glasses for the first time.

Is the Face Mask very heavy?

It weights just 150 grams, that is why it is very comfortable to be worn.

Can the Face Mask get blurred?

No, it can’t. Since the nose gaps are not covered, no kind of condensation can make it get blurred.

Is it compulsory  at Official Competitions?
